WARDOGS Medic Guide: Best Loadout and How to Keep Your Squad Alive
In WARDOGS, dying is expensive. A downed player who isn’t revived loses their loadout, has to buy another one, and faces a long trip back from HQ.
That makes the Medic one of the most valuable players on the battlefield. Every revive keeps a teammate in the fight, saves them money, and keeps bodies in the objective.
Medic in one line: Stay just behind the front line, smoke before you revive, and keep everyone patched up between fights.

Which SMG Should You Use?
- PP-19 Bizon – free from the start in Season 2, with a big magazine. Perfect while you level.
- MP5 – tame recoil and accurate further out than most SMGs. Unlocks early at Medic 4.
- AMP-9 – very fast-firing and light. Excellent indoors.
- Super-45 – the strongest close-range weapon in the game, but it falls off quickly past about 50 m.
Keep the Weight Down
A Medic who can’t move quickly can’t reach casualties.
- Level 2 armour is the sweet spot. Level 3 is more than twice the weight.
- Use the backpack space for medical kit and smoke, not extra magazines.
Budget Tip: A PP-19 Bizon, bandages and a resuscitator is a cheap kit that still earns lots of Medic XP.
How to Play Medic
1. Stay Just Behind the Front Line
You want to be close enough to reach a downed teammate quickly, but not so close that you’re the first one shot.
- Follow your Assault players into buildings and trenches, a few metres behind.
- Keep cover between you and the enemy at all times.
- Know where your squad is. If you lose them, you can’t help them.
2. Don’t Run at Every Revive Icon
This is the most important Medic rule. Before you move to a downed teammate, ask yourself:
- Why did they go down? Sniper? Machine gun? Grenade?
- Can the enemy still see the body?
- Can I smoke the angle first?
- Is there cover on the way?
If you can’t answer those, wait. A dead Medic can’t revive anyone.
3. Smoke, Then Revive
- Throw smoke between the casualty and the enemy, not on top of yourself.
- Approach from the side the smoke is covering.
- Revive, then get both of you back into cover.
- Tell them what you’re doing:
Stay down, smoking you.Medic coming, ten seconds.
4. Choose Who to Revive First
When several teammates are down, prioritise:
- Players inside the Hot Zone – they count double towards scoring.
- Other Medics – they can help you revive the rest.
- Support gunners keeping the enemy suppressed.
- Your squad leader or the player calling the shots.
5. Keep Everyone Topped Up
Reviving isn’t your only job.
- Bandage teammates between fights. It earns Medic XP; patching yourself up doesn’t.
- Use an IFAK to bring a badly hurt teammate back to full.
- Drop a Medical Bag in a safe spot your squad keeps returning to, like a room inside the objective.
6. Communicate
- Let your team know you’re the Medic:
Medic here, I’m with you. - Ask downed teammates to wait rather than respawn if you can reach them.
- Call when you’re out of supplies, so someone else can cover.
7. Defend Yourself
You carry an SMG for a reason.
- Fight at close range – indoors, in trenches and around corners.
- Don’t duel snipers or machine guns across open ground.
- If you’re caught alone, fight back first and heal afterwards.
8. Restock Between Fights
Check your bandages, resuscitators, smoke and Defibrillator Battery after every fight. Running out mid-push is the worst time to find out.
Common Medic Mistakes
- Sprinting across open ground to reach a body. Smoke it first.
- Wearing heavy armour. You’ll be too slow to reach anyone.
- Using the Medical Bag on yourself all the time. It costs more and earns you nothing.
- Fighting at the front. Let Assault lead.
- Forgetting the Battery for your Defibrillator.
- Losing your squad. A Medic on their own is just a lightly armed rifleman.
Pre-Deployment Checklist
- SMG and 2–3 magazines plus loose ammo
- Lots of bandages
- A resuscitator or Defibrillator + Battery
- IFAK or Medical Bag if unlocked
- Three smoke grenades
- Light or medium armour
Remember: Your kill count doesn’t matter. Every revive is one more teammate in the objective and one less trip back from HQ.
