WARDOGS Medic Progression Guide: How to Level Medic Fast

The Medic track rewards you for keeping your faction alive, and for winning close-range fights with an SMG. It’s one of the easiest tracks to level, because you can earn XP without getting a single kill.

Medic in one line: Heal other people, never yourself, and stay where the casualties are.

How Medic XP Works

Action Reward Notes
Bandage a teammate ~80 XP Bandaging yourself pays nothing
Revive a downed teammate XP With a resuscitator or defibrillator
Heal a teammate XP IFAK or Medical Bag used on someone else
SMG kills XP Every SMG feeds the Medic track
Revived teammate’s later kills and assists XP You keep earning from players you brought back

Key rule: Self-aid earns no Medic XP. Everything you do for other players does.

The Fastest Way to Level Medic

Step 1: Pair Up

Play with a friend or a squad. Bandaging teammates is quick, cheap and pays well, so the more teammates around you, the faster you level.

Step 2: Carry Lots of Bandages

Bandages are cheap and they’re your best XP source early on.

  • Pack plenty of them.
  • Patch up teammates between fights, not in the middle of them.
  • Ask your squad to come to you when they’re hurt: Medic here, come and get patched up.

Step 3: Go Where the Casualties Are

The Control Zone and Hot Zone are where players go down most, so that’s where you’ll earn the most.

  • Stay just behind your Assault players.
  • Smoke before you revive. A dead Medic earns nothing.

Step 4: Revive Everyone You Safely Can

Revives are valuable twice: once when you revive, and again when that player goes on to get kills and assists.

  • Unlock the Field Resuscitator (Medic 2) early.
  • Work towards the Defibrillator (Medic 22) for instant revives. Remember its Battery.

Step 5: Use an SMG

Every SMG kill goes to the Medic track, so even your gunfights help you level.

  • The PP-19 Bizon is free from the start in Season 2.
  • The MP5 unlocks early at Medic 4 and is a big upgrade.

Step 6: Stay Until the End

Finishing the match pays an end-of-match bonus. Don’t leave early.

Season 2 Changes Worth Knowing

  • The PP-19 Bizon is now free from the start.
  • The MP5 unlocks much earlier (Medic 4) and costs less.
  • The Medical Bag unlocks earlier (Medic 14), lasts longer and is cheaper to buy.
  • The Defibrillator moved later (Medic 22) and costs more to unlock.

Medic Levelling Tips

  • Never waste medical kit on yourself if a teammate needs it.
  • Drop a Medical Bag where your squad keeps returning, like a room inside the objective.
  • Ask downed teammates to wait instead of respawning when you can reach them.
  • Restock bandages, resuscitators and smoke after every fight.
  • Keep your armour light. You level faster when you can reach more people.

Common Mistakes

  • Using bandages and the Medical Bag on yourself and wondering why you’re not levelling.
  • Running at every revive icon without smoke.
  • Playing alone. No teammates nearby means no Medic XP.
  • Leaving before the end and losing the end-of-match bonus.

Remember: Every teammate you patch up or bring back is XP for you and one less trip back from HQ for them.

Values and unlocks are for Season 2 (Update 0.2.0). WARDOGS is in Early Access, so numbers can change between updates.
