WARDOGS Assault Progression Guide: How to Level Assault Fast

The Assault track levels up through rifles, pistols, grenades and breaching. Most players level it without trying, simply by fighting with a rifle. But a few objective actions make it much faster.

Assault in one line: Fight in the objective with a rifle, join every F.O.B hack, and use C4 on enemy buildings.

How Assault XP Works

The Fastest Way to Level Assault

Step 1: Use a Free Rifle

In Season 2, both the AK74 and the T-21 are unlocked from the start. Take one every life you’re fighting. Every kill levels Assault.

Step 2: Fight Where the Fights Are

The Control Zone and Hot Zone are where you’ll find the most enemies, and you’ll be helping your faction score at the same time.

Step 3: Join Every F.O.B Hack

When your faction hacks an enemy F.O.B, everyone nearby is rewarded with XP and cash.

  • Stay in range of the hacker and protect them.
  • Call out enemies coming to stop the hack.

Step 4: Unlock C4 Early

C4 with a Remote Detonator unlocks at Assault 4 in Season 2. Use it to destroy enemy walls, emplacements and other buildables. Each one destroyed pays Assault XP, and it hurts the enemy’s defences.

Step 5: Throw Your Grenades

Frag kills count towards Assault. Use them to clear rooms and trenches instead of saving them.

Step 6: Stay Until the End

Finishing the match pays an end-of-match bonus. Don’t leave early.

Season 2 Changes Worth Knowing

  • The AK74 and T-21 are now free from the start.
  • The new TCX-SPR takes the Assault 20 slot.
  • The M4 moved later (Assault 28) and costs more to unlock.
  • C4 moved here from the Support track (Assault 4).
  • The new Molotov Cocktail arrives at Assault 13.
  • Several optics moved onto the Assault track from other tracks.

Assault Levelling Tips

  • Don’t overspend. A free AK74 or T-21 levels Assault just as well as an expensive rifle.
  • Stay alive. Living longer means more kills per loadout and more time in the objective.
  • Fight with a squad. Trading kills with teammates gets you more fights you can win.
  • Use C4 on enemy defences whenever your team is attacking a fortified position.
  • Save cash for unlocks. The TCX-SPR and M4 are expensive to unlock.

Common Mistakes

  • Chasing kills away from the objective. You’ll get fewer fights and no objective rewards.
  • Ignoring F.O.B hacks. They’re easy XP for everyone nearby.
  • Hoarding grenades.
  • Running your most expensive rifle every life before you’ve built up cash.

Remember: Assault levels itself if you play the objective. Add F.O.B hacks and C4, and it levels a lot faster.
